Cheryl Mason offers a range of complementary therapies at her clinics in Leeds, West Yorkshire. She has extensive experience in nursing, midwifery and pain management teams within the NHS. She is also qualified in other complementary therapies and often treatments involve a blend of Acupuncture, Hypnosis and Therapeutic Massage / Body work techniques to suit the needs of the individual. Cheryl graduated with the Diploma and then Masters Degree from the esteemed Northern College of Acupuncture, York, where she is now a guest lecturer. Cheryl is also a part time Lecturer at Leeds Beckett University (formerly Leeds Metropolitan University). She also trains Physiotherapists in Acupuncture for Physio UK. Through her experience she has grown a deep respect for the powerful, yet gentle strength of Acupuncture to treat a wide range of conditions. Cheryl is now extending her range of therapeutic treatments and is part way through the extensive five year training in Osteopathic Medicine at Staffordshire University. She is already qualified to include Osteopathic Soft Tissue Manipulation into her practice where appropriate. Home work is often given to patients in the form of exercise and yoga stretches to accelerate improvement in musculoskeletal conditions.
She has trained both with the famous Zita West National Network for Reproductive Health and sees referrals from Zita West’s London Clinic. She has gained a reputation for helping couples conceive naturally or enhancing success rates for those undertaking IVF and Assisted Conception. Cheryl has also trained with the HypnoFertility® Foundation and often uses both Acupuncture and hypnosis in Fertility treatments.
As part of her interest in pregnancy and childbirth, she also teaches HypnoBirthing® and Acupressure Massage / Active Birth Workshops to women and their birth partners to facilitate an easier and more enjoyable experience of childbirth.
Cheryl has trained with the London College of Clinical Hypnosis and is an affiliate member of the British Society of Clinical Hypnosis.
